I initially started one on one training with Luke at Valhalla Fitness as part of getting in shape for my wedding, which was just over 18 months ago. The wedding has come and gone but I continue to train with Luke on a regular basis.

I thought I’d given Luke a challenge being that work in IT which is not the most active of professions, spending most of the day sitting down in front of a computer and that I was carrying in a couple of injuries from a previously failed attempt at the gym.

Luke put together a program that built the foundation starting out with technique while I built confidence in my abilities and overcame my injuries before moving on to setting further goals in the gym and meeting them.

The main benefits have been increased levels of fitness, strength, and focus but overall I enjoy the sessions due to it’s a relaxed atmosphere and the interesting programs where Luke will get the best out of you and help conquer the goals you set.

I am a shift worker and find it difficult to find a consistent time to do any kind of training/exercise. Because of this, maintaining a rounded program is difficult and maintaining a focus of an end result is the end result. 

I found the most beneficial aspect was the app used to upload training programs. I was able to go back and find missed work outs and still complete them. 

The main benefits I found were renewed focus, a mix of daily/weekly exercises to keep interest and motivation, readily available programs that are accessible as required. 

I have found that while weight loss has not occurred overall I'm more toned and able to fit pants that had become too snug. My strength has increased while keeping my usual diet. 

I would absolutely recommend training with Valhalla fitness. I live in central Queensland, many many miles away and still had access to a trainer whenever needed. Being able to upload videos helped with advice on technique hence reducing injury.
